Fun Run 1998


The good folks over at Lakeshore Sports host an annual Fun Run for their customers. Each crew receives an envelope containing a playing card and a [not especially] cryptic rhyming clue identifying the four lakeside locations where you must travel by boat to receive more cards and ribbons. The players with the best/worst/highest scoring poker hands win neat prizes. There are also refreshments and games.

As Diana was off with her Nacogdoches cronies this year, Elizabeth and Madison were my crew. They are shown above with our pitiful poker hand, in front of the Walden golf course bridge. In the other photo, they are playing a game where one throws a wet sponge and the other has to fill a bucket with the thrown sponge. Fastest team to fill the bucket wins.
