| Long before
the Psychic Hotline, the
Greeks believed that you could
communicate with the gods at certain places and times or through
certain people, and that the gods might give you advice and perhaps even
reveal the future. The wealthy and powerful would consult these
oracles (both the people who made the predictions and the places where
they divined the future were called oracles). The most famous Oracle
was that of Apollo at Delphi.
