Dionysus was the god of wine and fertility. Dionysus was the child of Zeus and athe mortal, Semel. After Zeus' wife, Hera, jealously killed, Semel, Zeus snatched his unborn son from Semel's body and sewed the infant into his thigh. Hera hated Dionysus, so much that she arranged for the Titans to kill him, and that is exactly what they did. They ripped him into so many pieces that you could not even imagine! However, Rhea brought him back to life. Zeus sent Dionysus to live on Mount Nymphs until he was an adult because he was Zeus' favorite son.
One day, Dionysus gave Midas the power to turn anything he touched into gold, but he had to take it back because he was using it way too much. |
