PROMETHEUS (Titan)Painting: Prometheus (13kb)

Prometheus, the son of Lapetus, was the wisest of the Titans, and was sometimes called "forethought" because he could see the future.  When Zeus revolted against Cronus, Prometheus left the other Titans and fought on Zeus’s side.  When Prometheus stole fire from the gods and gave it to mortals, Zeus punished him by chaining him to a rock for all eternity. An eagle devoured his liver until Hercules rescued him.

I think Prometheus is interesting because: he could foretell the future, and he thought he could out wit the gods.
